Carolyn Koch|Film Composer, Orchestrator, Pianist
Carolyn is an East Coast-based composer, orchestrator, and pianist. She has a classically trained background in piano, and has sung in choirs for both regional and national symphonies. She went on to be an in-demand keyboardist for session recording and live bands. She now focuses on composing for film, TV, video games, and other media. She works in an array of genres, from ambient and experimental sounds, to orchestral-driven action scores. She was a 2023 participant in NYU Steinhardt's Film Scoring program.
Her scores for Star Wars: Beyond the Outer Rim (2020) and Kira vs. Everyone (2023) both screened at the DC Comic-Con Short Film Festival. The indie horror feature Ente (2023) that she scored is released for streaming on major platforms, and the soundtrack is available on Spotify. She also contributed a short film score for a project in the American
Film Institute (AFI) 2022 Cinematography showcase. Carolyn has collaborated with esteemed audio companies Sonixinema and Spitfire Audio. She is registered with BMI, and is proudly a member of both the Alliance for Women Film Composers (AWFC) and the Society of Composers & Lyricists (SCL).
